On monday 19 th we had a duffy role model assembly. The whole school came to the assembly. We were all waiting for our guest to arrive. We were all waiting quietly.

When she arrived she came with the school leaders aliyanah , loto and luisa.first loto introduced our guest niva retimanu. Niva retimanu lives in invercargill. She is a samoan but she was born in new zealand. She is a journalist a news reporter. After that luisa thanked her.

Then she read us a story called kiss kiss yuck yuck. And then after that we gave out the duffy books. The person that got the book from are class was candice. After they handed out the books we sang the duffy book song.

After the duffy role model assembly i felt happy and great because i liked the story she read and i liked singing the duffy song.

Yesterday was our first day at clubs of term 3. We were in animation club. The people in animation were Ezekiel, Lewis, Te wa, Linda kiki, Maada, Aliyanah, Newsman, Dane, Tamati, Kalotia, Jeziah and I. then we started animating

It was fun because me and jeziah made videos with blocks and play dough  .

This morning we went out with Mrs Raj and room eight students for    fitness.we acted like soldiers.we did warm ups,we got bunched up and did a chant as we jogged. Then we went back to class and spoke about strategies to help us work as a team.

  We did an experiment on density.

Question:

What happens when you drop an  egg into  ordinary  drinking water and an egg into salt water?

This morning we did fitness, but it was raining so we had to do it                                   inside.The first thing we did was compass directions.The sides were North, South, East and West. After we did the compass directions we did star jumps, hops, jumping and touching our toes and jumping.We were very tired.

                Fitness with Mrs. Raj

Today we went with Mrs. Raj to the netball court for fitness. We were making geometrical shapes with our bodies. This was fun.

First we made shapes with our bodies.The first shapes we made were a square, a circle and a diamond. Team 2 made a rectangle, a triangle and an oval shape.The whole class made a trapezium with our bodies.

Next we did ten star jumps, push ups, we had to touch your toes, jump ten times, do step ups and say three facts about each shape that we made. After we made geometrical shapes with our bodies, we ran around the court 2 times.

At the end we were running on the court finding the shape that Mrs. Raj called out. We had to find the shapes on the ground.and also count the number of rectangles on the blue benches at the courts.

I enjoyed fitness and learning with Mrs. Raj.

My Family

We live in ridgeway street. My address is 15A

My name is Kuea and I have seven brothers five sisters and my mum and my dad in my family. My families names are Viliami, Soane, Manu, Saia, Sifa, Mateaki, Vikilani, Maryanne, Lucinda, Palu, Sia and Luisa.

We have five rooms. Viliami, Soane and I sleep in the same room. My brother sleeps by himself. And my other brothers sleep together. My sister Sia sleeps with my sister Marryanne. Luisa sleeps with my sister Lucinda.

My sister Marryanne goes to Auckland Grammar. My older sister goes to university. My older brothers go to Sacred Heart. Viliami, Soane, Sia, Palu, Luisa and I go to Glenbrae School .

I  am nine years old.Viliami is nine years old too. Luisa is twelve years old . Sia is eleven years old. My older brother Sifa is fourteen years old. My other brothers are fifteen years old. My other sister Maryanne is sixteen. My big sister is nineteen. My dad is forty two and my mum is forty.

Viliami, Soane, Sifa, Lani, Mateaki, Palu and I play rugby at Marist club. Luisa and Sia play netball.

My family is tongan .  

They are the best family ever.

kiwi can

Today we went to kiwi can.Today was are last day for kiwi can.when we went inside we got into our house lines.The kiwi can leaders were M.sr numia and Miss tuia.And they said a german word it meant good morning.The first thing that we talked about was what was the topic and the theme.Then we played a game called body parts.On body parts you have to match your body parts.you have to pair up with a buddy too.Then we went back down to the floor and talked about what was the topics we were talking about for the term.then we played a game called bus stop.For bus stop you have to write 5 subjects and you have to do a letter and you have to write a word starting with that letter.then we went back to the mat.Then it was time to go back to class.

We found this activity challenging because we got mixed up with the height and the length of the two classroom doors.

The police station

The police station is important because if there is someone robbing your house the police can arrest them and they go to jail for it.

If there is a drunk driver they will speed and the police can stop them from speeding and tell them to go home and sleep.

The police can stop crime and solve crime.If gangs see police they will run and the police will chase them and catch them.

Police can save us if someone is trying to kill you. They are very important because because if there was no police you will die.

Police stations are everywhere because gang people will get away with thing also stealers and drunk people and speeders.

Police stations are important because at night people do bad things and wreck things too.Cops are people that arrest people that are bad.They are good people because they save people too.police do serious work they don’t be silly.that is why  police stations are important.
